Hello, my name is Henrietta Asher Handy and you may have known me from the blog The Kentucky Mountain Girl News as The Editor.

Life can change in the blink of an eye and my world completely changed two years ago. The causes, decisions, and actions are too personal to get into in the About Page.

So, I came here to live at the Hyde Health and Rehabilitation Center, aka a nursing home.

Living in a nursing home is nothing like what you expect. It is nothing like I have ever experienced before, and it isn’t all bad. Sometimes, a lot of times, it is fun. So, come along and join me for the adventures of this current phase of my life. You might actually find yourself amused and learn something. A week doesn’t go by that I don’t learn something. When you are surrounded by people in their 80s and 90s, you can’t help but learn!
